MINUTES OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING <br />JULY 18, 2023 <br />The Housing Authority of the City of Paris, Texas Board of Commissioners met for a <br />REGULAR MONTHLY BOARD MEETING at 1.2:30 p.m. on Thursday. July 18, 2023, at the <br />Housing Authority of the City of Paris, Texas Office, 650 7`h SW — Office, Conference Room, <br />Paris, Texas 75460. <br />Present: Board Members: Jenny Wilson, Vice Chairman <br />Steve Smith <br />Beverly Johnson <br />Derrick Hill <br />T.K. Haynes, Chairman (via phone) <br />City Representatives: None <br />Housing Authority Employees: Sally Ruthart <br />Absent: Board Members: None <br />1. Call meeting to order. Jenny Wilson, Vice Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, called <br />the meeting to order at 1.2:30 p.m. <br />2. Quorum and members verified by Jenny Wilson, Vice Chairman. <br />3. Citizens' Forum. No one present or requested to speak. <br />4. Approve minutes from the meeting of July 11, 2023. A Motion to approve this item was <br />made by Board Member Steve Smith and seconded by Board Member Beverly Johnson. <br />Motion carried, 5 ayes — 0 nays. <br />5. Unfinished business to discuss: A. Waiver of PILOT & B. Lease Revision <br />Ms. Ruthart asked the Board to Table the 2 items of unfinished business due to the fact <br />that the review of these items has not been completed. Motion was made to Table the 2 <br />items until the next regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners by Board Member <br />Beverly Johnson and seconded by Board Member Steve Smith. Motion carried, 5 ayes — <br />0 nays. <br />6. New Business: <br />A. Ms. Ruthart gave the Board of Commissioners demographic, waiting list, and <br />vacancy information on. Public Housing and Section 8 Vouchers. 7 vacancies in <br />Public Housing and 291 vouchers utilized as of July 1, 2023 <br />B. Financial Information was given to the Board of Commissioners <br />
