Board of Adjustment Meeting <br />July 5, 2023 <br />Page 1 <br />MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />July 5, 2023 <br />The Board of Adjustment of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 12 p.m. on July 5, <br />2023, at the City of Paris- City Hall, Council Chambers located at 107 E Kaufman St. <br />Present: Board Members: David Hamilton, Ben Vaughan, Larry Walker, Carlton <br />Cooper and Alix Putnam. <br />City Representatives: Andrew Mack, Robert Vine and Stephanie Harris. <br />Absent: Board Members: Lydia Fitzgerald <br />1. The Board of Adjustment meeting was called to order by David Hamilton at 12:01 p.m. <br />2. Election of Officers. <br />A. Chairperson <br />David Hamilton was nominated and elected as Chairman, no other nominations were made. <br />B. Vice -Chairperson <br />Alix Putnam was nominated and elected as Vice -Chairperson, no other nominations were <br />made. <br />3. Approval of minutes from previous meeting. (June 6, 2023) <br />Motion was made by Alix Putnam, seconded by Ben Vaughan to approve minutes for the <br />June 6, 2023 meeting. Motion carried 5 ayes — 0 nays. <br />4. Public hearing to consider and take action on the petition of Katie Elliott of Last of My <br />Kind LLC, on behalf of Bryan Glass, regarding variances to the City of Paris Area <br />Regulations, on Tracts I & 2, Lot 10, Block 3 of the Stellrose Addition, being located at <br />2205 Simpson Street, Sections and variances as follows: <br />1) 2220SF variance to lot area on Tract 1, Section 9-102(1). <br />2) 3480SF variance to lot area on Tract 2, Section 9-102(1). <br />3) 12' variance to lot depth on Tract 1, Section 9-301(1). <br />4) 40' variance to lot depth on Tract 2, Section 9-301(1). <br />5) 10' variance to rear yard setback on Tract 2, Section 9-701(1). <br />Mr. Hamilton opened the public hearing. <br />Katie Elliott of 344 CR 43360, applicant, presented case to the board. Ms. Elliott explained <br />that there is currently a pre-existing house that is rented out and was built when the previous <br />home was still existing. The property owner has no intention of removing the rent house, <br />but would like to separate the lots and build a new single family home. <br />
