Minutes <br />Traffic Commission <br />City of Paris <br />The Traffic Commission met on Tuesday July 05, 2022 at 5:15 P.M. in the <br />Municipal Courtroom with the following members present: <br />1. <br />Wendell Moore <br />2. <br />Lloyd Fry <br />3. <br />Michael "Mickey" Ellis <br />4. <br />Sandi Kear <br />5. <br />Eric Guillot <br />The city staff was represented by Asst. Chief Randy Tuttle. <br />Wendell Moore called the meeting to order at 5:15pm. A quorum was established <br />with five members present. <br />Mr. Moore then moved to item #2 regarding the introduction of new Traffic <br />Commission members. Mr. Tuttle introduced Austin Guillot, whose term expires <br />06/30/2025. Mr. Tuttle informed members that City Council District One <br />representative Shatara Moore had been appointed as City Council Liaison. <br />Mr. Moore then moved to item #3 regarding discussion and possible action <br />concerning election of Traffic Commission Chairperson. Mr. Moore opened the <br />floor for nominations and Mr. Ellis nominated Mr. Moore. There were no other <br />nominations. Ms. Kear then second Mr. Ellis's nomination and it passed 5-0. <br />Mr. Moore then moved to item #4 regarding discussion and possible action <br />concerning election of Traffic Commission Vice -Chairperson. Mr. Guillot <br />nominated Ms. Kear. There were no other nominations. Mr. Ellis second Ms. <br />Kear's nomination and it passed 5-0. <br />Mr. Moore then moved to item #5 regarding approval of minutes from December <br />07, 2021 meeting. Mr. Fry made a motion to approve the minutes and it was <br />second by Mr. Guillot. Motion passed 5-0. <br />Mr. Moore then moved to item #6 concerning any old business. Mr. Tuttle <br />informed members that the downtown traffic study had been completed and it <br />was scheduled to be presented at the August 08, 2022 City Council meeting. <br />Members were encouraged to attend. Mr. Tuttle also told members that TXDOT <br />was moving forward with closing the crossovers on NE Loop 286 with work to <br />begin later this year.
