Page 6 The public hearing was declared open. Daniel Garza, 33 Private Road 43972 is the applicant stating he has been operating in Paris for five years now. Garza states he wishes to relocate his existing tattoo shop that is over by Tony Tuxes to this downtown location where all the traffic is now. With no one else speaking the public hearing was declared closed. A Motion to approve this item was made by Board Member Chance Abbott and seconded by Board Member Francine Neeley. Motion carried, 6 ayes — 0 nays. 14. (This item was noticed for public hearing in error. Please see item 15.) Conduct a public hearing and take action regarding the petition of the City of Paris for a Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Low Density Residential (LDR) to Medium Density Residential (MDR) in the Springlake Addition, Block 6, Lots 1-12. 15. Discuss and consider study information for a (6) six block area as a City initiated amendment to the Future Land Use Map (FLUM) regarding a future action by the City of Paris for a Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Low Density Residential (LDR) to Medium Density Residential (MDR) in the Springlake Addition, Blocks 1-6, from E Price Street to Cherry Street, between NE 28th and NE 30th Street, containing approximately 15 acres. Andrew Mack states this is a follow up discussion item and we are not asking for action at this time. Staff is asking for direction on this area studied. There are approximately twenty- five single-family homes in this area, two duplexes are already constructed as well as three vacant lots. Given these considerations we are seeking feedback to update the future land use plan for this area now that it is under transition. Staff is not looking to rezone this area at this time. Commissioners were all in agreement that they are in support of the six block area to be amended to medium density residential. This item is to be brought forth for action at its August meeting. 16. Conduct a public hearing and take action regarding the petition of James Martinez/Creative RE Investments LLC, for a zoning change from a One -Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF2) to a Two -Family Dwelling District (217), LCAD 19795, in the Springlake Addition, Block 6, Lot 12, located at 2801 E Price Street. ' 17. Appoint 1-2 commissioners to the PDC Sub -committee. A Motion to appoint Chad Lindsey was made by Board Member Clifton Fendley and seconded by Board Member Chance Abbott. Motion carried, 6 ayes — 0 nays. 18. Request items for future agendas. No items were requested at this time.
