Page 6 <br />The public hearing was declared open. Daniel Garza, 33 Private Road 43972 is the <br />applicant stating he has been operating in Paris for five years now. Garza states he wishes <br />to relocate his existing tattoo shop that is over by Tony Tuxes to this downtown location <br />where all the traffic is now. With no one else speaking the public hearing was declared <br />closed. <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Board Member Chance Abbott and seconded <br />by Board Member Francine Neeley. Motion carried, 6 ayes — 0 nays. <br />14. (This item was noticed for public hearing in error. Please see item 15.) <br />Conduct a public hearing and take action regarding the petition of the City of Paris for a <br />Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Low Density Residential (LDR) to Medium <br />Density Residential (MDR) in the Springlake Addition, Block 6, Lots 1-12. <br />15. Discuss and consider study information for a (6) six block area as a City initiated <br />amendment to the Future Land Use Map (FLUM) regarding a future action by the City of <br />Paris for a Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Low Density Residential (LDR) to <br />Medium Density Residential (MDR) in the Springlake Addition, Blocks 1-6, from E Price <br />Street to Cherry Street, between NE 28th and NE 30th Street, containing approximately 15 <br />acres. <br />Andrew Mack states this is a follow up discussion item and we are not asking for action at <br />this time. Staff is asking for direction on this area studied. There are approximately twenty- <br />five single-family homes in this area, two duplexes are already constructed as well as three <br />vacant lots. Given these considerations we are seeking feedback to update the future land <br />use plan for this area now that it is under transition. Staff is not looking to rezone this area <br />at this time. <br />Commissioners were all in agreement that they are in support of the six block area to be <br />amended to medium density residential. This item is to be brought forth for action at its <br />August meeting. <br />16. (This item was noticed in error; the item was previously noticed, a public hearing was <br />held, and the item was approved at the June 5th P&Z meeting.) <br />Conduct a public hearing and take action regarding the petition of James Martinez/Creative <br />RE Investments LLC, for a zoning change from a One -Family Dwelling District No. 2 <br />(SF2) to a Two -Family Dwelling District (217), LCAD 19795, in the Springlake Addition, <br />Block 6, Lot 12, located at 2801 E Price Street. ' <br />17. Appoint 1-2 commissioners to the PDC Sub -committee. <br />A Motion to appoint Chad Lindsey was made by Board Member Clifton Fendley and <br />seconded by Board Member Chance Abbott.
