Regular Council Meeting <br />August 14, 2023 <br />Page 7 <br />litigation and/or (2) on matters in which the duty of an attorney to her client under the <br />Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly <br />conflict with this chapter. <br />B. Section 551.072 of the Texas Government Code, to deliberate the purchase, <br />exchange, lease, or value of real property if deliberation in an open meeting would <br />have a detrimental effect on the position of the governmental body in negotiations <br />with a third person. <br />Mayor Hughes convened City Council into executive session at 6:56 p.m. <br />22. Reconvene into open session and possibly take action on those matter discussed in <br />executive session. <br />Mayor Hughes reconvened City Council into open session at 7:30 p.m. and said there was <br />no action to be taken. <br />23. Consider and approve future events for City Council and/or City Staff pursuant to <br />Resolution No. 2004-081. <br />Council Member Savage said they may need to look at the location on 20'h and the Loop <br />where the Council authorized pool displays as advertisement, if there was a business at the <br />location. He also said the display of pools was there but a business was not located at that sight. <br />Mr. Path said staff would look into this and he would get back with the Council. <br />24. Adjournment. <br />There being no further business, a Motion to adjourn was made by Council Member <br />Pilgrim and seconded by Council Members Savage and Kessel.
