MINUTES OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />December 14, 2020 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, <br />December 14, 2020, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: Mayor: Steven Clifford <br />Council Members: Paula Portugal; Renae Stone; Reginald Hughes; <br />Linda Knox; and Clayton Pilgrim <br />City Staff: Grayson Path, City Manager; Stephanie Harris, City <br />Attorney; Janice Ellis, City Clerk; Gene Anderson; <br />Finance Director; Randy Tuttle, Interim Police <br />Chief; Russell Thrasher, Interim EMS Director; <br />Thomas McMonigle, Fire Chief, M.A. Smith, <br />Public Works Director; and Clyde Crews, Fire <br />Marshal <br />Absent: Council Member: Gary Savage <br />O enin A enda <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />Mayor Clifford called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />2. Invocation. <br />Finance Director Gene Anderson gave the invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Portugal led the pledge. <br />4. Citizens' forum. <br />Bryan Glass, 4351 FM 2648, Powderly, Texas — he said he was the Boys & Girls Club <br />President and he along with other members, were there to support partnering with the City. Mr. <br />Glass said sixty-six plus years ago the Club started serving underprivileged children and they <br />typically serve 140-200 youth on a daily basis. He also said they recently learned that the City <br />owns part of the club property and the Club had been maintaining it for all of these years. He <br />specifically referenced two baseball fields east of the Club, and stated they hope to expand the <br />Club one day. Mr. Glass asked that the City convey those two fields over to the Club and said <br />the Club would pay any and all expenditures associated with the partnership. <br />
