RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A TAX <br />REDEMPTION DEED FOR PROPERTY NO. 11000 <br />WHEREAS, per the judgment and order of sale in Cause No. 91418, City of Paris v Frierson, <br />Property No. 11000 (described further below) was offered for sale at a tax sale held on March 7, <br />2023, but no bids were made, so the tract was bid -off to the City of Paris, Trustee, in trust for <br />itself, Paris Junior College, Lamar County and Paris Independent School District (Deed No. <br />203352-2023); and <br />WHEREAS, Texas Property Tax Code Section 34.21 provides the requirements for a <br />prior owner to redeem a property after it has been sold at a tax sale or bid -off to the taxing units, <br />including the minimum purchase price; and <br />WHEREAS, the previous owners have satisfied the requirements of Sec. 34.21 and <br />tendered full payment of the required purchase price; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED by the City Council of <br />Paris, Texas, that: <br />Section 1. The findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things <br />approved. <br />Section 2. The Mayor is authorized to execute a redemption deed conveying the <br />following tract(s) of real property back to the previous owner per Texas Property Tax Code Sec. <br />34.21: <br />• LCAD #11000 —'EAST PARK ADDITION, BLOCK B, LOT 3 & 4, 10TH NE' to GERRY <br />COOPER and LOUISE GLOVER for $2,430.00 <br />Section 3.
