ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />AS HERETOFORE AMENDED, SO AS TO ALLOW A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT <br />(SUP) FOR TRAILER SALES AND A CORPORATE OFFICE IN A COMMERCIAL <br />DISTRICT (C) IN THE CITY OF PARIS BLOCK 250, LOT E. PART OF 16 AND <br />LOT E. PART OF 17 (LCAD 108849) LOCATED IN THE 800 BLOCK OF NE <br />LOOP 286; PROVIDING A REPEALER CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, A <br />SAVINGS CLAUSE, A PENALTY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission received a request for an <br />amendment to the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Paris for a specific use permit (SUP) for <br />trailer sales and a corporate office in a Commercial District (C) in the City of Paris Block 250, <br />Lot E. Part of 16 and Lot E. Part of 17 (LCAD 108849) located in the 800 Block of NE Loop <br />286; and, <br />WHEREAS, on September 7, 2023, following notice and publication as required by <br />law, the Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on the proposed <br />amendment to the City Zoning Ordinance for an SUP for trailer sales and corporate office in <br />a Commercial District (C), and, following said hearing, made formal recommendation to the <br />City Council to approve the requested specific use permit subject to the following conditions: <br />1. Approval of the site civil construction improvements by the City Engineer, <br />Fire Marshal, and Planning and Community Development Director prior to <br />issuance of the site civil and building permits. <br />2. Approval of a new driveway access permit by TXDoT prior to all permit <br />approvals for construction. <br />3. Full conformity with all other requirements of the Zoning Ordinance, <br />including Section of 12-101 of the Subdivision Ordinance, and all applicable <br />city development guideline standards. <br />WHEREAS, on September 25, 2023, following notice and publication as required by <br />law, the City Council of the City of Paris conducted a public hearing on the proposed <br />amendment to the City Zoning Ordinance, and having considered the recommendations of <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission and the testimony and evidence introduced at said <br />public hearing, found and determined that approving the aforesaid specific use permit with <br />the stated conditions would be consistent with the Comprehensive Future Land Use Plan of <br />the City of Paris, consistent with the City Zoning Ordinance, and in the best interests of the <br />public health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the City of Paris by a vote of ayes and <br />nays. <br />
