Jeannie asked when the library budget begins anew. Connie responded, saying
that the Fiscal Year begins October 1. Jeannie asked if there were any budgetary
shortfalls, to which Rob replied that there were not.
Audrey asked Rob if the anticipated $45,000 for improvements was approved.
Rob responded, saying that the request is in the review process and will be
included in the FY 2024 budget.
Other discussion:
Steve asked Connie if there was any update on the John T. Biggers painting.
Connie said that she is referring to the City of Paris for further consideration. Rob
responded, saying that 3 things must happen in order for the painting to be
loaned. Them item would have to show proof of being properly insured. There
would be restrictions on the contract. There must be an agreement signed in
place before the artwork is moved. Once these boxes are checked, then the city
will proceed with the loan.
With nothing further to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 5:47 p.m., with
Melanie Loughmiller making the motion and Amy Watson providing the second.
The next meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board will be held on
August 16th, 2023, beginning at 5:00 p.m.
Submitted by:
Jennifer Cullum
Secretary
