Motion carried, 6 ayes — 0 nays. <br />36. Discuss and consider the request by Waste Connections Lone Star, Inc. to increase the <br />Landfill Services Agreement rate of payment by 5%. <br />Mr. Path said on September 13, 2021, the City Council approved a Landfill Services <br />Agreement with Waste Connections Lone Star, Inc. for use of the Blossom Landfill for the <br />City's residential waste. Mr. Path said the City had received a request for a rate increase of <br />5.00%, which was the maximum cap allowed in the agreement. He also said the City had <br />performed an analysis and determined that a 5% rate increase was appropriate under the terms of <br />the agreement, and had included in Council's agenda packet a draft letter to WCLS notifying <br />them of an error in their request, also authorizing the 5% rate increase, as well as requesting <br />WCLS forward payment of the annual $5,000.00 donation, pursuant to Section 12 of the <br />Agreement. Mr. Path answered questions from City Council about Section 6 and the CPI. <br />A Motion to approve the request by Waste Connections Lone Star, Inc. to increase the <br />Landfill Services Agreement rate of payment by 5% was made by Council Member Savage and <br />seconded by Council Member Kessel. Motion carried, 6 ayes — 0 nays. <br />37. Consider and approve future events for City Council and/or City Staff pursuant to <br />Resolution No. 2004-081. <br />Mayor Hughes reminded everyone of the first West Paris Town Hall meeting to take <br />place on Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m. at Justiss Elementary School. Mayor Pro -Tem Pankaj said <br />the City teamed up with Paris Soccer Association to continue the soccer program, and folks were <br />very complimentary of the City for doing this. Council Member Savage asked for an update on <br />the Pickle Ball Courts. <br />38. Adjournment. <br />There being no further business, a Motion to adjourn was made by Council Member <br />Pilgrim and seconded by Council Member Savage. Motion carried, 6 ayes — 0 nays.
