MINUTES OF THE BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />FEBRUARY 19, 2024 <br />The Building and Standards Commission of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 3:00 p.m. <br />on Monday, February 19, 2024, at the City of Paris Council Chambers, 107 E. Kaufinan St., Paris, <br />TX 75460. <br />Present: <br />Absent: <br />Board Members: <br />Reeves Hayter <br />Richard Thompson <br />Ken Kohls <br />Brandon Kearney <br />City Representatives: Robert Talley — Code Enforcement <br />Jacie Sparks — Community Development Secretary <br />Cade Oats — Assistant Fire Marshal <br />Robert Vine — Deputy City Manager <br />Stephanie Harris — City Attorney <br />Clyde Crews — Fire Marshal <br />Board Members: <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />Chris Fitzgerald <br />Kim Walker <br />Mike Folmar <br />Reeves Hayter, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 3:11 p.m. <br />2. Approve minutes from the meeting of January 15, 2024. <br />Motion made by Richard Thompson, seconded by Ken Kohls, to approve minutes. <br />Motion carried unanimously. 4-0 <br />3. Public Hearing to consider presentations by City of Paris Code Inspectors and owner(s) <br />and/or lien holder(s) of the below properties who have been given notice of a violation of <br />Chapter 4, Article 4.03 entitled "Substandard and Dangerous Buildings and Structures;" <br />Chapter 7, Article 7.04 entitled "Weeds, Junk, and Other Objectionable, Unsightly, or <br />Unsanitary Matter on Private Premises;" Chapter 8, Article 8.10 entitled "Outdoor <br />Storage;" Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, TX: <br />E. 710 NW 3'd; City Block 79, Block B, Lot 1 <br />Owner: David Deleon; 1717 Connor Drive, Dallas, TX 75217 <br />This has been tabled by Chairman Hayter due to the address being incorrect until the <br />next meeting which will be held 3/18/2024. <br />
