Building and Standards Meeting <br />February 19, 2024 <br />Page 2 <br />A. 267 NE 2nd ; City Block 58, Block A, Lot 6 <br />Owner: James Bolden, C/O Marcus Smith; 5423 Redbird Road, Phoenix, AZ 85083 <br />Robert Talley stated he has had no contact with property owner but the certified <br />return receipt was received. The structure has had a recent fire and is now unsecure. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, demo within 30 days, or city <br />has right to do so. <br />Motion made by Richard Thompson, seconded by Reeves Hayter, to follow staff <br />recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 4-0 <br />B. 1710 NE 10"'; East Park Block B, Lot 14 <br />Owner: Willie Bateman; 1213 rd St. Apt. 11, Paris, TX 75460 <br />Robert Talley stated that the property owner is in agreement that the structure needs <br />to be demolished. The structure has had a recent fire and is now unsecure. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, demo within 30 days, or city <br />has right to do so. <br />Motion made by Richard Thompson, seconded by Brandon Kearney, to follow staff <br />recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 4-0 <br />C. 341 SE 16"; City Block 102-B, Lot 3 <br />Owner: Dale McComb Jr.; 1850 Airport Road, Paris, TX 75462 <br />Robert Talley stated he has had no contact with property owner but the certified <br />return receipt was received. The structure has had a recent fire and is now unsecure. <br />The property also has junk and rubbish surrounding the exterior of structure. <br />There was conversation between Ken Kohls and Robert Talley regarding building <br />inspectors. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, remove all junk and rubbish <br />within 30 days, demo within 30 days, or city has right to do so. <br />Motion made by Richard Thompson, seconded by Reeves Hayter, to follow staff <br />recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 4-0 <br />D. 615 SE 25t"; Brookside Block 8, Lot PT of 10-13 <br />Owner: Lavell Ray Hayes; C/O Pamela Dean, 615 25th St. SE, Paris, TX 75460 <br />Robert Talley stated he has had no contact with property owner but the certified return <br />receipt was received.
