Board of Adjustment Meeting <br />June 4, 2024 <br />Page 1 <br />MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />JUNE 4, 2024 <br />The Board of Adjustment of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 12 p.m. on June 4, <br />2024, at the City of Paris- City Hall, Council Chambers located at 107 E Kaufman St. <br />Present: Board Members: David Hamilton, Ben Vaughan, Carlton Cooper and <br />alternate Larry Walker. <br />City Representatives. Robert Vine, Duke McGee, Osei Amo-Mensah, <br />Skylar Unger and Stephanie Harris. <br />Absent: Lydia Fitzgerald <br />1. The Board of Adjustment meeting was called to order by Chairman David Hamilton, at <br />12: 00 p. m. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meeting. (January 2, 2024) <br />Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by Carlton Cooper to approve minutes for <br />the January 2, 2024 meeting. Motion carried 4 ayes — 0 nays. <br />3. Public hearing to consider and take action on the petition of Andrew Mack, on behalf of <br />Invest Fannin LLC, regarding variances to the City of Paris Area Regulations, on Lots 4, <br />5 and 6, Block 16, of the Gibbons Braden Addition being located at 1121 SE 17`h Street. <br />Sections and variances as follows: <br />1) 14' variance to the front yard setback, Section 9-501(1). <br />2) 8'9" variance to lot depth on the south side of the property, Section 9-301(1). <br />David Hamilton opened the public hearing. <br />Building Official, Duke McGee, presented case to the board. <br />Applicant, Andrew Mack, answered questions about the need for the front yard setback <br />due to the lot being located in the floodplain. <br />No one else spoke in favor or opposition of the request. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by Carlton Cooper to approve the variances <br />to the City of Paris Area Regulations, Sections 9-501(1) Front Yard Setback and 9-301(1) <br />Lot Depth based on the following condition and findings. Motion carried 4 ayes — 0 nays. <br />
