Connie is very proud of the numbers for last month. In April, 469 people
showed up for programming. Connie feels that Paris is very supportive of the
changes taking place in the library and the numbers reflect that.
Connie said that there is so much going on at the library right now. The Summer
Reading program will get started on June 1 St, with the Friends of the Library
providing $900 for the winner's bicycles. There will be reading logs for all ages,
with more chances to win based on how many logs are turned in. The goal is to
give away 12 bicycles, of which 2 are for adult readers.
There will also be paid performers every Friday, with the anticipation of large
crowds forthe animals coming.
Connie also noted upcoming programmingwith Mommy & Me Yoga, ChairYoga,
Beginner's Spanish, STEAM with Tracy on Tuesdays at 11, and a lot of teen
programming coming up as well.
With no further comments, the meeting was adjourned at 5:54, with Jennifer
making the motion and Myers providing the 2nd.
The next meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board will be held on
Wednesday June 12th at 5:00 p.m.
Submitted by:
Jennifer Cullum
Secretary
