Building and Standards Meeting <br />June 17, 2024 <br />Page 2 <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, demo of western structure <br />within 30 days or city has right to do so. <br />There was discussion amongst the board, the owner's daughter, Shay Bills, and <br />Robert Talley regarding the demolition of the west part of the structure. Mrs. Bills <br />has already started the process of the demolition. <br />Motion made by Reeves Hayter, seconded by Ken Kohls, to table and bring back if <br />demolition process comes to a stop. Motion carried unanimously. 4-0 <br />A. 2671 N Main 16,40 & 70; City Block 307, Lot 2-13 <br />Owner: Daniel Azadegan; 3251 W 6t" Ste 109, Los Angeles, CA 900200 <br />Space 70: <br />Robert Talley stated that the entire roof has collapsed and holes in the floor due to <br />water damage from the roof leaking. Structure is unsecure. <br />Space 40: <br />Robert Talley stated that this is a total burnout of camper. The roof is completely <br />gone and is unsecure. There is severe vegetation on the inside of camper. <br />Space 16: <br />Robert Talley stated that the windows are busted out. There are roof leaks and water <br />damage. Holes in floor. The west side of structure has a window that is falling out <br />due to the structure sliding. The underpinning is buckling due to the structure sliding. <br />The porch is separating from the structure. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare all three spaces a nuisance, demo of <br />structures and camper within 30 days or city has right to do so. <br />Motion made by Brandon Kearney seconded by Reeves Hayter, to follow staff <br />recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 4-0 <br />B. 650 NE 26t"; City Block 259, Lot 16, 21 & 33-A <br />Owner: Royal Realty and Investments LLC; 6920 Lamar RD, Paris, TX 75462 <br />Robert Talley stated the owner cleared the property of trees and a house that was <br />there but the debris is still present. There is a massive pile of brush and rubble from <br />the house that was torn down. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, removal of limbs and brush <br />and junk and rubbish within 30 days, or city has right to do so. <br />Motion made by Ken Kohls, seconded by Brandon Kearney, to repair in 60 days or it <br />will be brought back to the commission. Motion carried unanimously. 4-0 <br />
