• North / West Development
Both projects are progressing, each at different phases of the project. The private party for the
North development wanted to know if the City could help in any way to help reduce the overall
cost of the project. After internal discussions, it was decided that the City could do the install of
the water lines and fire hydrants if the private party supplied all applicable parts for the project.
This helped to reduce the overall cost to the private party which helped progress the project.
Currently, the West development is having a legal agreement created due to the project having a
taxi -lane being developed.
• FAA Airfield Inspection
The airfield was inspected on May 11, 2024, by Aerologic, LLC —this company is subcontracted
out by the FAA to conduct airfield inspections. The inspection lasted four hours with only one
concern, trees around runway 35. These trees are going to need to be removed to protect the
approach into runway 35. The airport is working on getting a quote to get the trees removed.
• Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Funding (IIJA)
Originally airports were told that the IIJA money could not be used for new fuel farms by the FAA.
A good number of airports are wanting to use their IIJA money to fund new fuel farms. After
enough airports expressed their positions on this, the FAA has reconsidered and will allow airports
to fund new fuel farms. A Letter of Interest (LOI) has been sent to TXDOT expressing that the
Paris Airport is wanting to use majority of the IIJA money to fund a new fuel farm in FY 2025.
TXDOT quoted the airport $1.2M for a new fuel farm, the City would need to budget $120K in
FY 25 to have this project go through. The old fuel farm will need to be "officially closed out'
through TCEQ after the new fuel farm is completed. This cost will entirely be placed onto the City,
no federal aid is available for this project.
5. Next Airport Advisory Meeting
Mr. Strahan announced the next Airport Advisory Board Meeting would be August 15, 2024.
6. Adjournment
Meeting adjourned at 5:47PM
Approved this J _ th day of August 2024.
Paul Strahan Airport Manager
