NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />PARIS, TEXAS:
<br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby in
<br />all things approved and are incorporated herein for all purposes.
<br />Section 2. That the Official Zoning Map of the City of Paris, Texas and Zoning
<br />Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris as heretofore amended is hereby further amended to
<br />rezone all properties within the boundaries of Historic Overlay District No. 2 (HD -2), to
<br />Single Family Dwelling District No. 1 (SF -1), excluding those properties already classified as
<br />SF -1. The affected properties fall within the boundaries of HD -2, which are shown on Exhibit
<br />A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and which are described as follows:
<br />Starting at the intersection of W. Sherman Street and 1St Street S.W.,
<br />then south along 1St Street S.W. to Hearne Avenue, then east along Hearne
<br />Avenue along South Church Street to Kaufman Street. This is the general
<br />description of the area with the following additions and exclusions:
<br />The following lots are west of 1St Street S.W. and shall be included in
<br />the area: City Block 137, Lots 6, 6A, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12; City Block 149, Lots
<br />6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12; City Block 156, Lots, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13.
<br />The following lots are east of S. Church Street and are excluded: City
<br />Block 181, Lots 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, and 9; City Block 140, Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 4A, 5, 7, 8, 9,
<br />10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15; City Block 159, Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15,
<br />15B, 16, 17, and 18A.
<br />The following lots are north of Hearn Avenue and shall be excluded:
<br />City Block 157, Lots 18, 19, 20, and 21; City Block 158-A, Lot 3.
<br />Section 3. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris be, and he is hereby,
<br />directed to change the Official Zoning Map of the City of Paris, Texas to reflect the changes
<br />set forth in this ordinance.
<br />Section 4. That all provisions of the ordinances of the City of Paris, Texas in conflict
<br />with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed, and all other provisions of the
<br />ordinances of the City of Paris not in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance shall
<br />remain in full force and effect.
<br />Section 5. That the repeal of any ordinance or part of ordinances affected by the
<br />enactment of this ordinance shall not be construed as abandoning any action now pending
<br />under or by virtue of such ordinance or as discontinuing, abating, modifying, or altering any
<br />penalty accruing or to accrue, or as affecting any rights of the municipality under any section
<br />or provisions of any ordinance at the time of passage of this ordinance.
