Board of Adjustment Meeting <br />July 2, 2024 <br />Page 1 <br />MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />JULY 2, 2024 <br />The Board of Adjustment of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 12 p.m. on July 2, <br />2024, at the City of Paris- City Hall, Council Chambers located at 107 E Kaufman St. <br />Present: Board Members: David Hamilton, Ben Vaughan, Carlton Cooper and <br />alternate Larry Walker. <br />City Representatives: Osei Amo-Mensah, Todd Mittge and Stephanie <br />Harris. <br />Absent: Lydia Fitzgerald <br />1. The Board of Adjustment meeting was called to order by Chairman David Hamilton, at <br />12:14 p. m. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meeting. (June 4, 2024) <br />Motion was made by Larry Walker, seconded by Ben Vaughan to approve minutes for the <br />June 4, 2024 meeting. Motion carried 4 ayes — 0 nays. <br />3. Public hearing to consider and take action on the petition of Alex Camunez of Westwood <br />Professional Services, on behalf of Spirit Realty, regarding a variance to the City of <br />Paris Off -Street Parking and Loading Regulations, Section 10-103, on Lot 1, Block A, of <br />the Huhtamaki West Center Addition being located at 800 W Center Street. <br />David Hamilton opened the public hearing. <br />City Engineer, Todd Mittge, presented case to the board. <br />There was brief discussion amongst the board and Mr. Mittge about the parking study. <br />Sheila Mccoy, of Detroit, spoke neither in favor nor opposition of the parking variance, but <br />had concerns about the work done on water lines. Ms. Mccoy was referred to the Public <br />Works department to address her concerns. <br />No one else spoke in favor or opposition of the request. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />
