Board of Adjustment Meeting <br />October 1, 2024 <br />Page 1 <br />MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />OCTOBER 1, 2024 <br />The Board of Adjustment of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 12 p.m. on <br />October 1, 2024, at the City of Paris- City Hall, Council Chambers located at 107 E <br />Kaufman St. <br />Present: Board Members: David Hamilton, William Sanders, Harley Draven, Ben <br />Vaughan and Richard Thompson. <br />City Representative: Stephanie Harris, <br />Absent: None <br />The Board ofAdjustment meeting was called to order by Chairman David Hamilton, at <br />12: 00 p. m. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meeting. (September 3, 2024) <br />Motion was made by William Sanders, seconded by Harley Draven to approve minutes for <br />the September 3, 2024 meeting. Motion carried 5 ayes — 0 nays. <br />3, Public hearing to consider and take action on the petition of Robert Staples, on behalf of <br />Cultiv8Community regarding a variance to the City of Paris Area Regulations, Section 9- <br />201(1), on Lot 1, Block A, of the Cultiv8Community Addition No], being located at 1337 <br />E Houston Street. <br />David Hamilton opened the public hearing. <br />Permit Technician and Board Liaison, Paige Unger presented case to the board. <br />Barbara Curtis of 1404 E Price St, spoke neither in favor or opposition of the request. <br />No one else spoke in favor or opposition of the request. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />There was discussion amongst the board and the staff whether the intention of the home <br />was to be rented or sold. <br />Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by William Sanders to approve the variance <br />to the City of Paris Area Regulations, Section 9-201(1) based on the following findings. <br />Motion carried 5 ayes - 0 nays. <br />
