The HMGP provided the federal share of $1,338,842 under FEMA -4332 -DR -TX. The City of Whar-
ton will provide the non-federal match requirement of $446,281. The City of Wharton will purchase and
install four generators. Three generators will be at the water plants, and one at the wastewater treatment
plant. This project will always keep positive pressure on the water system to maintain crucial water quali-
ty during a natural hazard, transformer blowing, or a power surge. Treating this water before discharging
it into the receiving stream as treated wastewater is critical. The environmental benefits will decrease the
chances of sewage backup and increase public sanitation efforts.
GRANTS CREW, TASK FORCE LEADER AND SUPPORT GROUP SUPERVISOR, MITIGATION DR -4611,
HAZARD MITIGATION AT FEMA REGION 6, AUSTIN, TEXAS, AUGUST 2018 — NOVEMBER 2019
Sandra worked directly with State Project Office and sub -grantee to determine terms and conditions of
grant awards, such as phasing of projects, strategic funds management, cost schedules, and delivera-
bles.
GRANTS CREW LEADER, TEXAS HURRICANE HARVEY, DISASTER 4332 -TX, FEMA REGION VI, AUS-
TIN, TEXAS, AUGUST 2017 — JULY 2018
Sandra worked directly with Regional Management as Lead Project Officer in developing HMGP standard
operation procedures.
