TAP <br />Sandra Simonson has 25years ofFEMA HMGPand R4experience. <br />She plans, budgets, monitors, reports, and coordinates daily project <br />activities toachieve disaster recovery goals and objectives. She <br />prepares project reports for clients and management. Sandra plans, <br />reviews, and evaluates the work ofsubordinate professional and <br />operational staff. She also reviews and evaluates project and service <br />delivery. Sandra develops systems and maintains records that pro- <br />vide the proper evaluation, control, and documentation of all pro- <br />gram activities. She determines what deliverables togenerate during <br />each phase. She effectively communicates with clients, sub-recipi <br />ents,contractors,andotherinterested parties regarding all aspects <br />ofdisaster recovery efforts and grant monitoring. <br />Before joining GnantVVorks, Sandra worked for the Red River Region- <br />al Council, where she successfully wrote, received, managed, and <br />administered over $5million inHMGF,FMA, and PDM mitigation <br />grants. She has also managed Firefighter Grants, USDA, Forestry <br />Grants (wildfire), EPA(Superfund), C[}BG (housing rehabilitation), <br />and EDA (revolving loan) totaling more than $1Omillion. The proposed domed safe room will provide <br />near -absolute life safety protection for critical/essential services <br />personnel who must remain in service during natural disasters. The <br />safe room design will comply with all applicable guidance, including <br />FEMA P-361, Design and Construction Guidance for Community Safe <br />Rooms, and applicable codes, standards, and regulations. <br />Public Works Generators, City of Port Lavaca, Port Lavaca, Texas <br />The City ofPort Lavaca secured funding through the HMGPtoinstall <br />seven permanent generators atsix sewage lift stations and the <br />public works building to prevent electrical grid power loss.
