E X A S <br />Chairman Bray took a motion to move agenda item 7, Discuss and Consider Approval of the 2023-2024 <br />Audit Report as Presented by Brittany Martin, CPA of McClanahan and Holmes, to the next agenda item <br />for discussion. Mr. Homer made a motion to adjust the agenda as noted. Mr. Roddy seconded the <br />motion. Vote 5 -ayes to 0 -nays <br />Discuss and Consider Approval of the 2023-2024 Audit Report as Presented by Brittany Martin, CPA of <br />McClanahan & Holmes <br />McClanahan & Holmes CPA Brittany Martin presented the 2023-2024 Audit Report to the PEDC Board. <br />As of September 30, 2024, total assets came to $10,784,381. The total liabilities amounted to <br />$1,063,251. The total net position was $7,629,256. Following Ms. Martin's presentation, Mr. Bray <br />opened the floor to questions. Mr. Roddy asked a question regarding the PEDC's available cash funding <br />for use. Ms. Martin noted that the PEDC's total available cash was not directly reflected on her report <br />and that she could provide this total at a later date. <br />Mr. Bray took a motion to accept the report. Mr. Roddy made a motion to accept the 2023-2024 Audit <br />Report as presented. Mr. Terrell seconded the motion. <br />Vote: 5 -ayes to 0 -nays <br />Chairman Bray took a motion to move agenda item 8, Presentation on Planned and Proposed <br />Transportation Projects for Paris and Lamar County by Dan Perry, Director of Transportation Planning <br />and Development for the Paris District of TxDOT, to the next agenda item for discussion. Mr. Homer <br />made a motion to adjust the agenda as noted. Mr. Terrell seconded the motion. Vote 5 -ayes to 0 -nays <br />Presentation on Planned and Proposed Transportation Projects for Paris and Lamar County by Dan <br />Perry, Director of Transportation Planning and Development for the Paris District of TxDOT <br />Dan Perry, Director of Transportation Planning and Development for the Paris District of TxDOT, began <br />his presentation on planned and proposed transportation projects for Paris and Lamar County by <br />reporting on traffic safety concerns. He elaborated on the contributing factors related to traffic <br />fatalities, noting speeding and DUls to be the primary cause of accidents in the Lamar County area. Mr. <br />Homer asked a question regarding the percentage of recent DUI related fatalities compared to prior <br />years. Mr. Perry provided response, noting that the percentage of DUI related accidents has steadily <br />increased since 2018. <br />Mr. Perry continued his presentation with a detailed explanation of current traffic projects that are <br />being considered for Loop 286 and the surrounding highways connected to Paris.
