MINUTES OFTHE MAIN STREETADVISOWBOARD_ <br />PARIS CITY..CO.UNCIL CHAMBERS 107 E. KAU.F,MAN PARIS TX..75460 <br />TUESDAY, DULY 8., 2025. <br />Present: Glee Emmite, Kim Kalina, Mary Hart, Kevin Moore, Tyrone Hayden, Alix Putnam <br />(city council liaison), Karen Dougherty(ChamberNCC) <br />City Representatives: Cheri Bedford, Main Street Manager <br />Osei Amo-Mensah, Director of Planning and Community Development <br />Chairman Emmite called the meeting to order at 4:31 p.m. She read the vision and mission <br />statements. <br />1. Citizen Forum- none <br />2. Review of minutes from the June meeting: <br />a. A motion was made to approve the June meeting minutes by Moore and <br />seconded by Hayden. 6 ayes, 0 nays. Motion passes. <br />3. Nominations for officers <br />a. Moore nominated by Emmite for Chair; Kalina nominated Hart for chair. <br />Discussion was held and Moore accepted the nomination while Hart declined. 6 <br />ayes, 0 nays. Motion passes. <br />b. Hart was nominated forvice chair by Moore, Emmite seconded. 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Motion passes. <br />c. Kalina was nominated for secretary by Emmite. Hayden seconded. 6 ayes, 0 <br />nays. Motion passes. <br />Moore began duties as chair. Hart continued duties as vice chair. Kalina began <br />duties as secretary. <br />4. Committee Reports <br />a. Workplan Updates - <br />i. Kalina mentioned a recent PAM (Paris Arts Movement) meeting where we <br />are finalizing plans for crosswalk paintings to include more ART in <br />downtown Paris. Hart will be sharing the details. Kalina was invited and <br />walked with Bedford to several downtown merchants to share history <br />and information as well as meet the merchants. Bedford would like to <br />include everyone and will ask for members to sign up to go with her in the <br />future. <br />ii. Hart reported specifics about painting crosswalk plan. The PAM <br />committee met and voted on 2 designs to present to the Paris Historic <br />Commission, July 9, 2025. <br />iii. Hart reported on Art Festival for 2026. Moore asked for the definition of <br />ART—will it include crafts? Hart reported no, we do not want to include <br />
