crafts. This is for professional artists who make jewelry, glass art,
painting, or drawing. The date is the Friday before the Wine Fest April 10
and 11. Proposal for a reception April 10 from 6-8 p.m.at the Gibraltar
where we would have a juried art competition/awards, hors d'oeuvres,
cash bar and music. The artists and families would be given a chance to
mingle before setting up booths the following morning in the park, library
and farmers market areas. We want to include music, food, artists, and
children's activities from 10-2 p.m. This would lead into the Downtown
Paris Wine Fest that evening. Bedford reminded the advisory committee
about this goal being on the work plan for 2 years. More exciting details to
come, but the good news would be that no streets would need to be
closed for this event.
iv. PDA- Emmite reported - proposal to include the best business of the
month beginning in August. The winner would be allowed to display a
sign acknowledging their win in the front of the store for that month.
v. These projects were sent back
to be completed for approval at the next meeting.
vi. ChamberNCC- Dougherty- reported about success of the 903 Sunset
Concerts. We had the most attendees at the first show at 7,200, but all
were well attended. The smallest crowd was 5,200. Vendors loved it. The
Tour de Paris Bike Race is July 19th. It is open for up to 1,000 bicyclists,
but we have 500 signed up currently. The Gravel Grind Bike Run is July
20th.
Coordinators Report—
a. Brick Pavers -working with engraving company. Our cost v public cost
discussed. We plan to sell 4x8 for 75, 8x8 for 150 and 12x12 for 250.
Bedford made us aware of our costs: bricks, shipment, replacements,
and install. Deadline for the 1 st Street paver project is 9/30/2025 in order
to have time to install by completion date of 12/31/2025.
b.
