Conduct a public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition of 'Frava <br />Drake for a Zoning Change from Planned Development (PD) to General Retail (GR) on <br />LCAD 19801, Legal Description-. Springlake Addition, Block 8, L0T2-A & 3, 257 NE <br />28th St. <br />Osei Amo-Mensah presented the item to the commission stating the previous single-family <br />structures have been demolished and its currently a vacant lot. The applicant proposes a <br />commercial development with tenant space for possibly three tenants. Commercial <br />development in this location will provide conformity and serve the needs of the vicinity. <br />The applicant Trava Drake spoke during the public hearing requesting approval, stating <br />she also plans to acquire the adjacent lot to the north to expand the site and will bring that <br />item forth in the near future. <br />A motion to approve the zoning change was made by Commissioner Chad Lindsey and <br />seconded by Commissioner Eric Guillott. Consideration of and action on the Preliminary Plat of the R4U Ventures Addition, Lots I <br />& 2, Block 190, LOAD 17073 and 17074, located in the 1300 Block of W Houston Street. <br />Todd Mittge states the applicant requests preliminary plat approval in order to build a <br />single-family structure. Staff recommends approval with no conditions. <br />A motion to approve the preliminary plat was made by Commissioner Chad Lindsey and <br />seconded by Commissioner Paula Portugal.
