Understanding that TxDOT is a major stakeholder in the success of Downtown Paris, it isImportant to engage them throughout the lifecycle of the project. Following the existing plan review and data collection in Task 2, Lambka Associates will provide an overview of Vision Paris with the TxDOT Paris Area Engineer, This overview meeting will allow Paris and Lambka Associates an opportunity to reengage TxDOTstaff, garner feedback, and receive direction on necessary planning, design, funding, and education stra4ies to implement the Project. Basedon the information garnered from Task 2 and 3, Lambka Associates will develop up to three (3) altemetNe street cross sections for evaluation. Alternatives will be based on existing conditions, city staff desire, and national best practices. The alternative cross sections will be presented to city staff and other appropriate officials virtually. At the conclusion of the meeting, city staff will select one cross section as the preferred typical section to move forward. It is anticipated that the two-way restoration of Main Street, 1st Street, Lamar Avenue, and Clarksville Street will all have one typical section for the downtown core transect and one for the urban transact. Following the selection of typical cross sections, Lambka Associates will develop a conceptual two-way restoration master plan of the existing one-way pairs to approximately a 5% design level.
