[Main Street Board] Meeting <br />[November 11, 2025] <br />Page 2 <br />Emmitte HPC did not have a meeting in October. At FOP, she and Dr. Clay hosted the <br />costume contest. Next year, suggests a runner to help with communication to announce <br />winners. Nothing to report regarding the directory at this time. <br />Hart Although Mary was not in attendance, she did send in the following report: <br />Paris Arts Movement Committee Meetings — no official meeting since Oct, worked <br />through emails together on Battle of the Artists and Paris Art Fair; will be meeting more <br />frequently after Thanksgiving with an emphasis on Art Fair, future Battle of the Artists <br />and Other Art Activities. <br />Festival of Pumpkins: <br />Pumpkin Queens — Helped move Queens to the Square for viewing <br />Battle of Artists — set up and tear down Event.(Friday and Saturday) Completed Event. <br />No issues during event. All volunteers and Artists participated as assigned. Silent <br />Auction— All paintings sold. Art Guild/Gallery handled all the details and payments to <br />artists. <br />Feedback from event was All Excellent -Positive with Community and Artists wanting <br />additional Battles in the Future. In addition to CUTX Sponsorship, Thank you to <br />Brighton Broadband for opening / hosting building for the event. Special THANK YOU <br />to MC —Greg Kee, PJC for easels, Plaza Art Guild/Gallery for Artists, Silent Auction. <br />Other Decorations: Helped decorate the Square <br />Paris Art Fair: Created Artists' Marketing Competition Submission Forms, Emails and <br />Social Media <br />3. Crosswalk Art Project: <br />Project placed on hold due to TXDOT Letter to City — received phone call from Cheri <br />Oct. and Notified artists Oct. <br />Kafina- was able to assist with the Pumpkin Queens, provided two tables for pumpkin <br />tic tac toe, assisted with the voting during the Battle of the Artists at Festival of <br />Pumpkins, and worked on the Main Street Tent to get participants for the Rock, Paper, <br />Scissors contest. I also attended the last Paris Arts Movement meeting regarding the <br />Art Fair in April 2026. <br />Hayden- concluded his work at the Festival of Pumpkins at the Main Street tent. He <br />has no future plans at this time. <br />Moore- Participated in the costume contest as a judge; asked that in the future, we try <br />to get emails from participants so it will make it easier to contact for our events. Kevin <br />suggested that we have the Christmas Tree Lighting advertised with Chamber of <br />Commerce in the future. TX BBQ Blowout is Dec. 6, suggested we attend as it supports <br />the education foundation. <br />b. PDA: <br />Emmite Christmas parade to be held Dec. 6"'. There was a huge article in the paper <br />about the parade. 20-30 have signed up to participate. Richard Drake will be the <br />Grand Marshall. Dec. 1 deadline to sign up to participate in the parade. Christmas <br />tree lighting is Nov. 22, Letters to Santa kids will get a letter back. Wassail Fest is <br />
