The Sum mer Reading Program kicked ed off on May 3V1, 2025. This year, the <br />program will pr vide an age --level reading lag for participants to complete ire a <br />chance to win prizes. The 0-12 log asks reader 0-6 to color in a bear picture <br />following reading log rules, while the 7-12 log asks readers to write down 1 <br />book titles and their authors. The 13+ reading log ask read ers to write 4 boom <br />reviews about what they've read. The possible prizes come from p n or <br />such a: Friends of the Paris Public Library, Tropical Sn, Caldwell Zoo, <br />Chick-Fil-A, Scooters coffee, Dairy Queen, and whatabrger. <br />V. Friends of the Library l Report: <br />Audrey stated that the spring newsletter went out in April and that the Friends <br />would have a tble set upatthe Summer Reading Program kick-off. -off. Audrey atso <br />notified the board that the Friends co-sponsored the story boot walk and have <br />also paid for 5 of the summer performers. <br />V1. Director's Remarks <br />a. Library Newsletter <br />The library is considering a newsletter. Connie stated that there are about <br />7,000 email addresses that would receive the newsletter. <br />b. Strategic Planning <br />Connie informed the board that the strategic plan world be placed in front of <br />the Paris City Council approximatety at the October meeting. This is due to <br />the rotation that each city department tales in addressing the council. <br />c. Interl an Library <br />The interloan library has moved to open more space in the main area of the <br />library. <br />d. Biggers mural <br />The Biggers mural is now located in the great room. It is currently insured at <br />.25 million dollars. Connie noted that she would lire to have pleiglas <br />covering the mural,for added protection but thi cost woldbe <br />approximately $ ,coo. <br />e. Monthly statistic graphic <br />Connie told the board that every two weeks, each department head for the <br />city i s req u fired to provide a rep rt to the city of cu Trent 1 nfo rrnation. Connie <br />submitted the graphic that was created to the city council. This graphic <br />included current statistics for the month of April, along with employee <br />
