40 <br />Key Activity 2.5: Safe Routes & <br />Lighting Upgrades <br />What it is: <br />Quick -build safety packages including LED lighting, <br />crosswalks, signage, and traffic calming along high -need <br />walking routes near schools and apartments. <br />Why now: <br />Stakeholders report under -lit routes and unsafe crossings, <br />particularly near schools, with parents wanting visible <br />improvements. <br />What we'll do: <br />• Select 3-5 priority corridors based on crash data and <br />school walksheds <br />• Install LED lighting, crosswalks, signals, and traffic - <br />calming treatments <br />• Coordinate timing with ISDs and set maintenance <br />schedules <br />• Track issues through 311 system <br />Timeline <br />Years <br />Est.
