Paris Public Library Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />January21, 2026 <br />Call to Order: <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Paris Public Li bra ry Adviso ry Board was <br />called to order by Chairman Steve Hellmann at 5:04 p.m. Board members in <br />attendance were Steve Hellmann, Eva Dickey, Myers Hurl, Dee Hawkes, Annette <br />Lewis, and Jennifer Cullum. Abigail Frankwas absent. Also in attendancewere <br />Library Director Connie Lawman, City Manager Rose Beverly, and Friends of the <br />Library representative Jeannie Walters. <br />II. Citizens Forum: <br />No citizens addressed the board. <br />III. Approval: <br />The minutes of the November 19th, 2025, meetingwere approved with no <br />corrections. Eva madethe motion, with Myers providing the second. <br />IV. New Business: <br />a. New board member Annette Lewis. <br />Annette was welcomed as the new board member. She introduced herself and <br />then the other people in attendance also briefly introduced themselves. <br />Afterword, Steve explained the responsibilities of a board member to Annette. <br />b. Rhodes Fund <br />Connie provided those in attendance with an in-depth presentation of how the <br />library staff would like to spend the moneythat has been given on behalf of the <br />late Mrs. Rhodes. In total, there were 7 categories on a wish list from the staff, <br />with Connie providing details on each one, with a question -and -answer format <br />after each explanation from Connie. <br />
