Discuss and possibly act on waiving late fees and penalties associated with payment of <br />the first assessment on property within Forestbrook Public Improvement District No. 1. <br />City Attorney Stephanie Harris took the Council through the creation of the PID through <br />today. She explained that the owner failed to make the PID assessment payment in a timely <br />manner and there had been some question as to delivery of the notice. She said the contractor <br />maintained that it was mailed out the notice to owner as required and owner asserts that never <br />received the notice, resulting in the missed deadline. Ms. Harris said when the owner learned of' <br />this, he paid the assessment payment in (lie amount of $35,000.00. She also said the penalties <br />andinterest in the amount of $13,585.17 accrued during the period ('(.)r which payment was late. <br />A Motion to waive the penalties and interest related to the first assessment for <br />Forestbrook Public Improvernent. District No. I was made by Mayor Pro -Tem Savage and <br />seconded by Council Member Norinent. Motion carried, 4 ayes — 0 nays. <br />21. Consider and approve future events for City Council and/or City Staff pursuant to <br />Resolution No. 2004-081. <br />None were referenced <br />22. Adjournment. <br />There being no further business, a Motion to adjourn was made by Mayor Pro -Tern <br />Savage and seconded by Council Member Norment. Motion carried, 4 ayes - 0 nays.
