Section 6. Repealer Clause. If any provision of this ordinance, the adopted codes, <br />or Exhibit A conflicts with any previously adopted ordinance or provision of the Code of <br />Ordinances, this ordinance and Exhibit A shall control. All ordinances or parts thereof in <br />conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict only. <br />Section 7. Severability Clause. If any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, <br />clause, phrase, or portion of this ordinance is declared invalid or unconstitutional, such <br />decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions, which shall remain in full force <br />and effect. <br />Section 8. Savings Clause. The repeal of any ordinance or part of ordinances <br />affected by the enactment of this ordinance shall not be construed as abandoning any action <br />now pending under or by virtue of such ordinance or as discontinuing, abating, modifying, <br />or altering any penalty accruing or to accrue, or as affecting any rights of the municipality <br />under any section or provisions of any ordinance at the time of passage of this ordinance. <br />Section 9. Penalty Clause. Any person, contractor, firm, or corporation who violates <br />any provision of the adopted codes, this ordinance, or any provision hereof, including <br />contractor registration requirements, shall be subject to the penalties provided under <br />Section 1.01.009 of the Code of Ordinances and any other applicable laws. Each day that a <br />violation continues constitutes a separate offense. <br />Section 10. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon <br />passage and publication as required by the City Charter and state law.
