Adoption of 2024 ICC Codes and 2023 NEC. <br />The City of Paris hereby adopts by reference the following codes: <br />1. 2024 International Building Code (IBC) <br />2. 2024 International Residential Code (IRC) <br />3. 2024 International Existing Building Code (IEBC) <br />4. 2024 International Plumbing Code (IPC) <br />S. 2024 International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) <br />6. 2024 International Mechanical Code (IMC) <br />7. 2024 International Code Council Performance Code (ICCPC) <br />8. 2023 National Electrical Code (NEC) <br />9. 2024 International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC), applicable Citywide <br />These codes shall govern the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, <br />alteration, repair, relocation, demolition, occupancy, use, and maintenance of buildings and <br />structures within the City of Paris. <br />Section 4. Adoption of Article 4.02 and Local Amendments. The City of Paris <br />hereby adopts the full amended text of Chapter 4, Article 4.02, "Construction Codes and <br />Standards," of the Code of Ordinances as set forth in Exhibit A hereto which is incorporated <br />herein by reference for all purposes and which includes: <br />• Local amendments to the adopted model codes, <br />The complete organization and division structure of Article 4.02, <br />Contractor registration requirements, <br />• Contractor classifications, <br />• Contractor responsibilities, <br />• Administrative provisions necessary for enforcement. <br />Exhibit A is incorporated herein as if set out verbatim. <br />Section S. Local Amendments Incorporated by Reference. All amendments, <br />additions, and deletions to the adopted model codes contained within Exhibit A are hereby <br />adopted as the official amendments of the City of Paris. In the event of a conflict between a <br />model code and the provisions of Exhibit A, the provisions of Exhibit A shall control. <br />
