Paris Public Library Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 18, 2026 <br />I. Call to Order: <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was <br />called to order by Chairman Steve Hellmann at 5:08 p.m. Board members <br />present were Steve Hellmann, Eva Dickey, Annette Lewis, Abigail Frank, and <br />Jennifer Cullum. Board members absentwere Dee Hawkes and Myers Hurt. Also <br />in attendance were Library Director Connie Lawman and Friends of the Paris <br />Public Library representative Jennifer Hollje. <br />II. Citizens Forum: <br />No citizens addressed the board. <br />III. Approval: <br />The minutes of the February 18th, 2026, meeting were approved with no <br />corrections. Annette made the motion to approve, with Abigail providing the <br />second. <br />IV. New Business: <br />a. Rhodes Fund: <br />Current Renovations: Connie informed the board that the Gallery and Teen <br />Room would begin renovations the firstweek of April, with no interreference <br />in programming. Fifty new chairs were purchased with libraryfunding. The <br />new chairs are sturdy and easyto clean, along with a visually appealing. New <br />to bles wi ll arrive in a few weeks. <br />Connie noted that the gallery floorwill be laminated, alongwith the Maker <br />Space. She also told the board that the ceiling tiles will now be replaced, for <br />a brighter and cleaner look that will match the lobby. Currently, the quote she <br />has is for $2,400. <br />
