LED lighting: The LED lighting is now in all public spaces. The bill has been
sentto the Finance department for $3,000, which is cheaperthan the initial
approved amount.
Master switch: Connie stated that the master switch in her office has finally
given out and the current quote for replacement is $5,000. This moneywill
not come out of the Rhodes Fund but Building and Grounds.
Plaque: Connie stated that the name plate that will go above the Gallery
doorway will cost $225.00. Currently, the quote she has for the inside
memorial plaque is from SCS Graphics in the amount of $2500.00 The board
Connie is still searching for more quotes.
b. Membership and hours of operation:
Connietold the board thatthere are some smallthings that need to be
worked outforthe online membership renewals to be successful. The issues
are on the side of the provider and not the library.
Connie then told the board that there is still some deliberation regarding how
long to have membership renewals and who to offer that to. The board
deliberated on this, with some ideas of offering a discount aftertwo years, or
making the membership staggered. Connie and the staff agree that they want
something that is simple and asked the board for support before moving
forward with changing the policy.
Eva made the motion to support modifying the current membership policyto
a two-year renewal option. Jennifer provided the second, with everyone else
on the board in agreement.
Connie also added thatthe librarywill have updated hours of operations
beginning in May. The librarywill be open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Tuesdays and
Fridays. The board was in support of this update.
V. Friends of the Library report:
Jennifer Hollje stated that the newsletter was sent out and that the Friends have
agreed on the newt -shirt design.
