Council Member Ladell said the only <br />reason he asked was because he did not know the boundaries of District Two. Mayor Pankaj <br />asked if Council would be ok with opening the vacancy and accepting applications until June <br />30th at 5:00 p.m. Council Member Norment said she was fine with that because the more <br />applicants they had would be good. It was consensus to do so and that Ms. Ellis notify Council <br />once the applicants were vetted, and at that time they could decide whether to conduct a special <br />meeting for interviews or consider the applications at their July 13 City Council meeting. <br />13. Receive presentation from Steve Marriott about the April monthly financial report. <br />Finance Director Steve Marriott presented City Council with the April monthly financial <br />report. <br />14. Receive update from Engineering Manager Steve Hodges about the First Street Project. <br />Mr. Hodges gave an update on the First Street NE Plaza Project and the Belford Parking <br />Lot Project. <br />15. Receive presentation from the IT Department about projects. <br />Mayor Pankaj said due to some recent developments, this presentation would be <br />continued to a later date. <br />16. Convene into executive session pursuant to: <br />A. Section 551.087 of the Texas Government Code, (1) to discuss or deliberate regarding <br />commercial or financial information the governmental body has received from a <br />business prospect the governmental body seeks to have locate, stay, or expand in or <br />near the territory of the governmental body and with which the governmental body <br />is conducting economic development negotiations; or (2) to deliberate the offer of a <br />financial or other incentive to a business prospect prescribed by Subdivision (1), -as <br />follows: Project Blue Fire <br />B. Section 551.072 of the Texas Government Code, to deliberate the purchase, <br />exchange, lease, or value of real property if deliberation in an open meeting would <br />have a detrimental effect on the position of the governmental body in negotiations <br />with a third person. <br />Mayor Pankaj convened City Council into executive session at 6:24 p.m. <br />17, Convene into open session and possibly take action on those matters discussed in <br />executive session. <br />Mayor Pankaj reconvened City Council into open session at 6:48 p.m. A Motion to <br />approve the Performance Agreement for Project Blue Fire as discussed in executive session was <br />
