asked for the meeting minutes to clarify that the only thing the board has <br />endorsed regarding the Rhodes Funds are the things that have already been <br />done. <br />b. lours of Operation: <br />Connie updated the board on new hours of operation for the library. Beginning in <br />May, the library will now be open Tuesday -Friday, from 10 am until 7 pm. The <br />rest of the week, the library will be open from g am until 6 pm. The library will <br />announce this to the public through a variety of means, including flyers, <br />brochures, and social redia. Connie said that she is going to give the new hours <br />a try before making any official changes to the door signage. <br />. Summer leading Kickoff: <br />The library is preparing for the Sumner leading Kickoff on May o. This year's <br />theme is dinosaurs, so Connie is purchasing a variety of iters to help decorate. <br />So far, Tropical Snow will be on site, a bounce house, along with Remo Fire <br />Department rtment cooping hot dogs, Rambling Rita will be performing, ing, with funds paid <br />for by the Friends. Connie said that the library will remain open for all normal <br />services, with the exception of the Computer Lab. <br />The program will be open to all ages} and run for 8 weeks. Jeannie asked if <br />Connie needed volunteers and Connie said yes, for the bounce house and <br />signup tables. <br />d. Upcoming BoardVacancies: <br />Connie informed the board that she has printed out the applications for new <br />library board members. There will be 4 seats open on the board. Connie noted <br />that she will put a discussion regarding the vacancies on the agenda for the May <br />meeting. <br />V. Friends of the Library <br />Jeannie informed the board that the spring newsletter would come out at the end <br />of April. The Friends are excited to support the library with the summer reading <br />programs. Jeannie also updated the board that this year's Storywalk would be <br />The Little Engine that Could. The storywalk boards will be placed in Byw ter's <br />Park near the end of May, after the Art Fair. Jeannie also noted that the <br />membership for Friends is down, possibly due to changing newsletter methods <br />from print to digital, and the Friends have since gone back to print method, She <br />encouraged the Paris Public library board members to join the Friends board. <br />1.
