Special Council Meeting <br />June 15, 2026 <br />Page 3 <br />City Council cast their votes for four Building & Standards Commissioners and Staff <br />called out the names of Sandra Carrell, Walt Irwin, Sharon Schneider, and Kelsey Turk. A <br />Motion to approve the appointments was made by Council Member Ladell and seconded by <br />Mayor Pro -Tem Savage. Motion carried, 6 ayes — 0 nays. <br />Next, City Council cast their votes for six Historic Preservation Commissioners and Staff <br />called out the names of Glee Emmite, Linda Knox, Michelle Scribner, Pattie Mayfield, Gina <br />Lancaster, Alexis Phillips, and Paula Shoffeitt. A Motion to approve the appointments was made <br />by Council Member Norment and seconded by Mayor Pro -Tem Savage. Motion carried, 6 ayes <br />— 0 nays. <br />Mayor Pankaj explained by Statute that the Mayor was to make the appointments to the <br />Housing Authority. Ms. Ellis asked if they could make one of the terms a one year term, but that <br />person would be eligible to be on the board again in one year. Ms. Harris answered in the <br />affirmative. Mayor Panka�j appointed Tyesha Craddock, Allan Hubbard, and Kim Walker (one <br />year term) to the Housing Authority, leaving one position vacant for a resident. <br />City Council cast their votes for the Library Advisory Board and Staff called out the <br />names of Lori Atkinson, Abigail Frank, Kristi Head, and Marci Kennedy. A Motion to make <br />the appointments was made by Council Member Attebury and seconded by Council Member <br />Ladell. Motion carried, 6 ayes — 0 nays. <br />City Council cast their votes for the Main Street Advisory Board and Staff called out the <br />names of Melissa Jones, Alexis Phillips, Michelle Scribner (HPC Representative), and Paula <br />Shoffeitt. A Motion to confirm the appointments was made by Mayor Pro -Tem Savage and <br />seconded by Council Member Putnam. Motion carried, 6 ayes — 0 nays. <br />City Council discussed the Building & Standards Commission and applicants for the <br />Historic Preservation Commission. <br />A Motion to reconsider applicants for Building & Standards Commission was made by <br />Mayor Pro -Tem Savage and seconded by Council Member Norment. Motion carried 6 ayes — 0 <br />nays. Staff called out the names of Sandra Carrell, Sharon Schneider and Walt Irwin.
