Conduct a public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition of the City of <br />Paris for amendments to Exhibit 9B, Zoning Ordinance, addition of § 32, Battery Energy <br />Storage Systems (BESS), to establish regulations governing Battery Energy Storage <br />Systems, including definitions, permitted locations, Specific Use Permit (SUP) <br />requirements, dimensional standards, buffering and screening requirements, airport and <br />glare protections, infrastructure standards, decommissioning requirements, financial <br />assurance requirements, and related development and operational standards. <br />Duke McGee presented the item to the Commission. Staff recommends approval. The <br />public hearing was declared open.
