A motion to approve the text amendments/additions was made by Commissioner Eric <br />Guillot and seconded by Commissioner Fran Neeley. Motion carried 5 ayes — 0 nays. <br />4. Conduct a public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition of the City of <br />Paris for amendments to Exhibit 9B, Zoning Ordinance, addition of § 32, Battery Energy <br />Storage Systems (BESS), to establish regulations governing Battery Energy Storage <br />Systems, including definitions, permitted locations, Specific Use Permit (SUP) <br />requirements, dimensional standards, buffering and screening requirements, airport and <br />glare protections, infrastructure standards, decommissioning requirements, financial <br />assurance requirements, and related development and operational standards. <br />Duke McGee presented the item to the Commission. Staff recommends approval. The <br />public hearing was declared open. With no one speaking the public hearing was declared <br />closed. <br />A motion to approve the text amendments/additions was made by Commissioner Chance <br />Floyd and seconded by Commissioner Rochelle Jones. Motion carried 5 ayes — 0 nays. <br />5. Request items for future agendas. <br />There were no requests. <br />6. Adjournment. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:44 p.m. <br />
