MINUTES OF THE MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />July 14, 2026 <br />The MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD of the City of Paris met for a <br />regular session at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, July 14, 2026, at the PARIS CITY COUNCIL <br />CHAMBERS 107 E. KAUFMAN PARIS, TEXAS 75460. <br />Present: Board Members: Kevin Moore, Kim Kalina, Michelle Scribner, <br />Paula Shoffeitt, and Alexis Phillips <br />City Representatives: Cheri Bedford, Main Street Manager, Hayley <br />Reynolds, Assistant <br />Absent: Board Members: Mary Hart, Melissa Jones, and Karen <br />DoughertyNCC Rep <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />Chairman, Kevin Moore, called the meeting to order at 4:31 p.m. He shared the Vision <br />and Mission statements. Kevin asked new members to take a moment to introduce <br />themselves. Welcome to new members Paula Shoffeitt, Michelle Scribner, and Alexis <br />Phillips. <br />2. Citizen Forum: <br />No one in attendance to speak. <br />3. Approve minutes from the meeting of June 2026. <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Board Member Kim Kalina and seconded by <br />Board Member Paula Shoffeitt. Motion carried, 5 ayes — _0— nays. <br />4. Partnership Reports: <br />A. Paris Downtown Association: Misti Scott, President of the Paris Downtown Association, <br />was asked to give a summary of her organization's activities. Misti briefly defined the <br />PDA and welcomed the new members. She shared about Paris Fashion Week, which is <br />new to the downtown area, happening at the end of September and beginning of <br />October. The Christmas Parade will be announced next week. Misti is requesting that <br />the MSAB consider helping with financing asocial media person for events. This can <br />be put on the future agenda items. <br />B. Visitor Center- Karen Dougherty was absent. Kevin Moore, Chair, shared that the <br />903 Concert Series was very successful. They have considered doing this again in the <br />fall. Tour de Paris is this coming Saturday, beginning at 8 a.m. They are projecting <br />several hundred riders. The race begins at the Love Civic Center and rides through the <br />downtown square and Farmer's Market before going to the countryside of Paris. <br />
