<br />Regular City Council Meeting <br />January 23, 2006 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />COMPL Y WITH THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 6 OF SAID CODE; <br />PROVIDING FORA PENAL TYNOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL <br />ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; <br />MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Council Member Manning wanted to know if a person taking flying lessons had to <br />obtain a permit from the airport manager. Lisa Wright told Council the instructor had to <br />obtain the permit. Lisa explained to Council that currently permits are renewed annually, and <br />they go before the airport manager, airport advisory board, and then to Council. Lisa further <br />explained this would streamline the process in that the airport manager could issue the permit <br />as they come due. She said that the airport manager would make sure that requirements are <br />met. <br /> <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Wilson and seconded <br />by Council Member Poston. Motion carried, 7 ayes - 0 nays. <br /> <br />4. Consideration of and action on the following resolutions: <br /> <br />A. RESOLUTION NO. 2006-009: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF P ARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF <br />A TAX SALE DEED FOR LOT 12, CITY BLOCK 52, BEING LOCATED AT 714 <br />GRAHAM STREET; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS <br />RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Council Member Manning stated he had a letter that reflected 314 Graham Street; <br />however, the Deed and Resolution reflected 714 Graham Street. John Bolstrom, tax attorney <br />with Linebarger, informed Council that the correct address was 714 Graham Street. <br /> <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Manning and seconded <br />by Council Member Fisher. Motion carried, 7 ayes - 0 nays. <br /> <br />B. RESOLUTION NO. 2006-010: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE GROUNDS <br />SUBLEASE BETWEEN THE RED RIVER VALLEY FAIR ASSOCIATION, INC. <br />AND RENO FIRE AND RESCUE, A TEXAS CORPORATION; MAKING OTHER <br />FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />l' <br />
