Tony informed Council that Cox <br />agreed to the money and the CPI. The only change is Cox wanted it to be in five year <br />increments, as opposed to one year increments. <br /> <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Wilson and seconded <br />by Council :Member Manning. Motion carried, 5 ayes - 0 nays. <br /> <br />1. RESOLUTION NO. 2006-019: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. TWO TO CONTRACT FOR <br />CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW POLICE AND COURTS FACILITY; MAKING <br />OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Shawn Napier said there were two items on the change order. The first one being <br />upgrading the parking lot from seal coated to concrete. The second item is to repair the older <br />part of the building roof. In December, it was decided that the roof was in poor condition <br />and needed to be repaired. Shawn told Council that these items were in the original phase of <br />the contract, but excluded at the time they were cutting back to stay within budget. Shawn <br />further told Council that the money is there for these items and they will still be under <br />budget. <br /> <br />Council Member Wilson stated he did not have a problem with repairing the roof, but <br />had a problem with spending $75,000.00 on a concrete parking lot. He said he thought an <br />item that size should have come back to Council. Council Member Wilkerson asked if the <br />work had already been done. Shawn told Council the majority of the work had been done. <br />Council Member Wilkerson said she had a problem with it not coming back to Council prior <br />to the work being done. <br /> <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Ray and seconded by <br />Council Member Manning. Motion carried, 4 ayes - I nay, with Council Member Wilkerson <br />casting the dissenting vote. <br /> <br />7. Receive the City of Paris Audit Report for fiscal year 2004-2005. <br /> <br />Tom Hensel with McClanahan and Holmes presented the Audit Report. <br /> <br />8.
