<br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION <br />Monday, February 20, 2006 <br />4:00 P.M. <br /> <br />1. Chad Brown called the Building and Standards Commission Meeting to <br />order at 4:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Roll was called. <br /> <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Chad Brown Mary Crumpler <br />Harrell Tippitt Chris Brown, Alternate <br />Zach Saffle, Alternate <br /> <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Pike Burkhart,Alternate Lucius Joe, Jr. <br />Ryan Lassiter Brad Archer <br />Steve Brown, Alternate Greg Wilson <br /> <br />2. Approval of Minutes of previous meeting: <br />A motion was made by Chad Brown to approve the meeting minutes, and <br />Mary Crumpler seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously <br /> <br />3. Public hearing to consider presentations by City of Paris Code Inspectors <br />and owner(s) and/or lien holder(s) of the below properties who have been <br />given notice of a violation of Article III of Chapter 7 of the Code of <br />Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, entitled A Substandard and <br />Dangerous Buildings and Structures: <br /> <br />A. 229 5th Street NE, Lot 10, City Block 37 <br />Chad Brown made a motion that the building be demolished within 30 <br />days with a $1,000 per day civil penalty and, if the building is not <br />demolished within the 30 day time period, the City will demolish the <br />building. Harrell Tippitt seconded the motion. The motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />B. 1161 3rd Street NW, Lot 2-A, City Block 97 <br />Chad Brown made a motion that the building be demolished within 30 <br />days with a $1,000 per day civil penalty and, if the building is not <br />demolished within the 30 day time period, the City will demolish the <br />building.
