Gary is working with Mike Dunn of Campbell's and <br />Bobby Littlefield of TxDOT on placing a deceleration lane in front of the <br />Campbell's plant entrance. Kiamichi Railroad brought Project Alcohol to Paris to <br />look at land for a new Ethanol plant they want to build. This company has <br />already started on in the panhandle of Texas. Their current plant will be a <br />$100,000,000 project. The company will need large amounts of utilities and a <br />constant supply of corn for their production. AT&T will be upgrading their <br />equipment in Texas to provide DSL service to more rural areas. The Paris North <br />facility will be one of the first in the state. This will provide DSL service north of <br />Paris. High Speed internet will be available to anyone with in a three mile range <br />of the service center. There are plans in the works to also provide television <br />service over the same phone lines. Spencer's Wholesale Food Distribution has <br />filled out and application for PEDC assistance. They have outgrown their current <br />building on Bonham Street and they are looking for land to build a new <br />distribution center. We talked with them about land in the Paris Industrial Park. <br />The application will be placed on next months' agenda. <br /> <br />The chairman's report was given by Sims Norment.
