Also going north and south from the west edge of the <br />taxiway, they need almost unlimited space. For their insurance purposes, the <br />are not permitted to be in the air on an airport while planes can fly in. There <br />could be a 30 minute NOTAM where they can't come in-that would be okay. <br /> <br />There will also be a trick kite demonstration. There will be someone from <br />Dallas coming in with a gigantic kite for display. Sally Wright, the Parks <br />Director, will host a best homemade kite contest for kids and give out prizes. <br /> <br />Lisa Wright said that tables and chairs for seating can be rented. Someone <br />pointed out that Eric Clifford has lots of long tables we could borrow. Table <br />and chairs can be put inside and outside of the hangars. <br /> <br />Lisa Wright asked about selling a chance for one free flight, for $2 or $5, and <br />using that money as a fund-raiser for the airport. Everybody will be have an <br />equal shot at a free flight. They can take it that day or another day. The Board <br />recommended giving away 5 flights. <br /> <br />At least 25 volunteers are needed along with hand-held radios, tables and <br />chairs (Jerry will check with Eric Clifford), orange tape, Police, Fire, EMS; also <br />orange vests, trash cans and bags, a trash truck parked out there, people to <br />set up tables, bathroom facilities x 4, and an emcee. <br /> <br />Bill Boothe left the meeting. <br /> <br />4.
