<br />Section 3. That the following maximum, reasonable and prudent rates of speed <br />shall be established on those portions of the street hereinafter described: <br /> <br />On US 82 from the intersection of US 271 and US 82, in an easterly direction a <br />distance of approximately 0.571 miles, a speed limit of 45 (forty-five) miles per <br />hour at all times; thence easterly a distance of approximately 0.727 miles to the <br />East city Limits of Paris, a speed limit of 55 (fifty-five) miles per hour at all times <br />as evidenced by the attached plan is hereby approved and made a part thereof. <br /> <br />Section 4. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in force in the City of Paris, <br />Texas, which conflict with the terms and provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed <br />insofar as they conflict with this ordinance, but all other portions of said ordinance shall <br />remain in full force and effect. <br /> <br />Section 5. That any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall <br />be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined in any sum not <br />to exceed $200.00. <br /> <br />Section 6. That the fact that present traffic regulations are inadequate to control <br />traffic in areas covered by this ordinance creates an emergency which is here and now <br />declared, as an emergency measure and shall be in full force and effect from and after its <br />passage and publication and after the installation of speed limit signs. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of May, 2006. <br /> <br />Curtis Fendley, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Janice Ellis, City Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />John D.
