MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MAY 1, 2006 The Planning and Zoning Commission met Monday, May 1,2006, 5:30, City of Paris, City Hall, Council Chambers, 107 E. Kaufman, Paris, Texas with the following members present: 1. Reeves Hayter 2. Barbara Forrest 3. Benny Plata (5:45) )I 4. Bobby Myers 5. Russell McCain 6. Marshall Kent Lisa Wright, Director of Community Development, was also present. 1. The meeting was called to order by Reeves Hayter. 2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (April 3, 2006 regular meeting). Motion was made to approve the minutes by Marshall Kent, seconded by Barbara Forrest. Motion carried by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays. 3. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Gerald T. Martin for a change in zoning from an Agricultural District (A) to a Light Industrial District (L1) on Lot 3, City Block 340, being number 2980 Church Street. The public hearing was declared open. The petitioner was not present to speak in favor of the petition, and there was no one present to speak in opposition to the item. The public hearing was declared closed. 4. Consideration of and action on the petition of Gerald T. Martin for a change in zoning from an Agricultural District (A) to a Light Industrial District (L1) on Lot 3, City Block 340, being number 2980 Church Street. Motion was made to table by Marshall Kent, seconded by Bobby Myers. Motion carried by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays. 5. Public Hearing to consider the petition of John Gitlin, Trustee ofthe Bordeaux Trust, for a change in zoning from an Agricultural District (A) and a Commercial District (C) to a Planned Development District (PO-h) Commercial Center, Retail Shopping Center, and Office Center on Part of Lot 7, City Block 318, being number 3205 Loop 286 N.E. The public hearing was declared open. r....
