<br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR <br />MEETING OF THE <br />MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD <br /> <br />March 15, 2006 <br />Aikin Building <br />23 East Plaza <br />3:00 p.m. <br /> <br />A meeting of the members of the Paris Main Street Advisory Board was held Wed. March 15, 2006 at <br />3:00 p.m., at the Aikin Building. Beth Golden, Main Street Coordinator, presided. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Barbara Wilson <br />Pike Burkhart (Alt.) <br />Suzy Harper <br />Renee Harvey (Alt.) <br />Walt Brown <br />David House <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Bailey Cant (Alt.) <br />Drew Crawford (Alt.) <br />Becky Semple (Ex-Officio) <br />Jennifer Long <br />Zach Saffle <br /> <br />Beth Golden called the meeting to order at 3:20 p.m. <br /> <br />Downtown Real Estate Presentation by Renee Harvey and Karen Wilkerson <br />Renee and Karen made a great presentation to market downtown properties. Karen volunteered to <br />put the first 6 properties on the display board for Main Street. Casey Rose donated a large magnetic <br />framed board to be used in the window and Walt Brown volunteered to suspend it from the ceiling. <br />Karen and Renee both recommended Main Street develop an application and hold harmless forms to <br />be completed when a "for sale by owner" approaches Main Street for placement of their property on <br />the display board. They offered their forms to us to use as a guide for developing ours. They also <br />volunteered to put any properties we obtained from the public in their format to be used on the <br />display. The Main Street group suggested charging a fee for potential applicants who wish to place <br />their property on the board. Several details need to be explored further within the economic <br />restructuring committee before this project is started. Main Street Coordinator will follow up with <br />Renee and Karen. <br /> <br />Festival of Pumpkins Planning Committee <br />Suzy Harper and Walt Brown volunteered to assist in planning the festival. <br /> <br />Alternate Positions <br />The advisory board members agreed the current system serves our needs appropriately. <br /> <br />Appointments of Advisory Board Members <br />The following names were presented to the board: Casey Rose, Bret Ruthart, Matthew Coyle, Karol <br />Lyn Moore and Lisa House. Walt made a motion that we ask these members to join the Main Street <br />Advisory Board and Barbara Wilson seconded.
