Suzy Harper, Barbara Wilson, David House and Renee Harvey. Barbara Wilson will be re-appointed
and Suzy, David and Renee wish to continue tQ support and serve the Main Street Advisory Board
through committees or other volunteer capacities.

Committee Reports
>> Organization Committee - A meeting was not held therefore a report as not provided.
>> Promotions Committee - A meeting was held March J1lh at the Paris Bakery. Gina Crawford,
Matt Coyle, Lydia Lindsey and Jennifer Long attended. We began our meeting discussing
various websites we liked. Everyone agreed that Georgetown Texas has a great Main Street
website. We thought the photo on the homepage was attractive and made one want to visit
their community. Matt Coyle has agreed to begin taking photos of the plaza so that we might
incorporate a similar photo for the Paris Main Street homepage. We also liked the navigation
of their site as well. Pages we would like include: business directory, available properties,
events calendar and brief history of the plaza w/photos. Lydia suggested a keyword search
box. Jennifer suggested links to lodging facilities as well as information regarding the Trail de
Paris. Beth suggested using bright color as background vs. white. We all agreed that
pertinent information is key and no clutter on the site. Overload of information is often
distracting to searchers. Beth Golden added that a fund raising effort is planned for April 1 sl at
the airport to raise money for the website. Main Street raised $500.00 from drink sales at the
courthouse re-dedication. Logo -A suggestion was made to have a community contest for the
logo design so that we might involve art students? We are interested in what Main Street
advisory board members think about the idea. The promotions committee is charged with
development of the website - final layout will be presented to the full advisory board for
approval upon completion. If you have any ideas or thoughts you would like to share with
our group please feel free to give any of the members of this committee a call.
>> Design Committee - A meeting was held March 61h with TxDOT officials, Chamber of
Commerce representatives, Main Street Design Committee members and City officials to
discuss gateway signs and way-finding signs. Local landmarks have been identified and sites
chosen for gateway signs. Barbara reported that the group has really been split in two pieces
so that we can expedite the process. The group continues to meet with success.
>> Economic Restructuring Committee - A meeting was not held therefore a report was not
provided.

Request for items for next month's agenda:
Main Street Budget.

A motion was made by Walt Brown to adjourn and seconded by Barbara Wilson. The meeting was
adjourned at 4:35 p.m.

Approved this 19th day of April 2006.

Zach Saffle, Chairman Signature

Page 2 of2

r"
