Council Member Fendley said the savings would be about $15.00 annually per <br />policy holder; however the total savings would be approximately $200,000.00, Council <br />Member Gray expressed concern that the streets in those areas would become substandard, <br />if disannexed. Council Member Ray said he was concerned about liability issues, should the <br />City lose control of the property. Council Member Fisher said that the City fought real hard <br />to keep some of the property and that she would never vote for disannexation. Council <br />Member Freelen voiced concern about not retaining the property in the city limits, because <br />of the inability to regulate fireworks at Lake Crook. <br /> <br />10. Citizens Forum. <br /> <br />Chester Martindale - 140 N .E. 34th Street, spoke about his numerous requests over the <br />past six weeks to the City, asking that a drainage ditch near his home be cleaned up. He said <br />that he was assured it would be taken care of, but as of this date nothing had been done. He <br />presented photographs to Council. <br /> <br />Ray Banks - 3450 Robin Road, inquired as to why the private hangars at the airport <br />were not generating property taxes. <br /> <br />Dave Johnson - 208-21 st S.E., spoke against an ordinance limiting the number of pets <br />a person can own in the city limits. <br /> <br />11. Possible future agenda items. <br /> <br />Mayor Manning asked if staff could provide information as to what is being done with <br />regard to unlicensed contractors and people who are running businesses out of their homes. <br /> <br />12. Consider and approve future events for City Council and/or City Staff pursuant to <br />Resolution No. 2004-081. <br /> <br />None were referenced. <br />13.
